You Can Blame Me, if you need someone to blame...

"you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people, all of the time." John Lydgate

For a number of years now, I have seen those "don't blame me, I voted for Kerry" bumper stickers. I suppose now, I could join the club and proudly post a sticker proclaiming that at least I wasn't one who voted in this new president.

And I could slap it on my car right after he makes a decision that doesn't turn out well.

But I won't. Because he is my President. The President of the United States and therefore...My President!

you see, that's how it works...we vote, and the majority wins. I wasn't in the majority this year, but I still agree with democracy.

So, if you did vote--wonderful!( I won't even get into my feelings on those of you who didn't--let's just say, if you didn't, and you are legally able to, please don't admit it to me--I'm not very understanding in this area...) I hear the voter turn-out was amazing this year. If the person you voted for won--yay! you REALLY have cause to celebrate, as you believe in the incumbant's position and direction and have been on board already. If the person you voted for lost--well, what can I say? I'm in your position and I feel your pain (lol!) seriously, though, you voted--that is the important thing, you made your voice heard...now stop moping and rejoice that the political ads are over for a while...and, worst case--at least there will be less of those bumper stickers! (hopefully...let's not be haters, ok?)

That's the spirit! This time my guy won, but I'm not going to gloat because I know what it felt like last time around when the other guy did. You know, it all comes around, and the sky is still blue, the grass is still green, and the sheep are still out there demanding some grain or hay or something (shut UP out there!) so you know what I mean- life goes on ;-)

No bumper sticker here. I didn't chose him but I will support him.

Can't improve on that. If you decide to host your own nationally syndicated radio talk show, I'll listen.

lee ann--you rock
dad--happy birthday, anyway :) and, wow...a talk show, well, that's an idea. a place to broadcast all my opinions to the general public and get feedback...oh wait, isn't that what this blog is?!

It's so true! Good job for putting this out there, for everyone. No matter what "side" we were on, winning or ...not winning (in our case), we still participated in an historic election and got to watch something ground-breaking happen in our nation. That to me is exciting!

Good luck, President-Elect Obama, we'll be praying for you!

Okay, so I DIDN'T vote, mostly because I was so on the fence for either one... torn right down the middle. (shrug) Hope you still love me anyhow. :P

I'm with dad... I would listen to you vent your thoughts all day long! And you are most definitely better looking than Rush Limbaugh... hee hee! Good perspective. I was trying to figure out how to fit voting into my Tuesday and made some comment about maybe not being able to vote... Jacob had a cow... MOM, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO VOTE! YOU CAN'T NOT VOTE! I guess he has been indoctrinated by Aunt Annaliese!!!

Well I chose not to vote!
So let's debate about that.....................

TEASING! I did, and I'm still crying.

Praying that God will get ahold of Obama's heart!

I did vote, although not with the majority, but I am glad it's all over--you know me and politics. We do need to move on and support our new Prez and most importantly, pray for him.

Your guy didn't win? Neither did mine!...lol Hey I don't even know how I got here but I am glad I did, I like your blogs and you are so creative! This was well stated and I agree with you. Thanks for sharing this post! Hope you have a wonderful week end! =O)
