...we met our Evangeline!

Can you believe it has been a year? One year ago today we became a family of 6... we held this little treasure for the first time... we felt a promise fulfilled. As we look at our youngest today tearing around the house with her siblings, it is hard to imagine that we once stared at three little snapshots of her for three LONG months in anticipation.

Thank you, Lord, for this blessing. Thank you for Evie. Thank you for today, as we remember the journey to get her, the friends we made along the way, the support we received from friends and family and most importantly, the way we learned to wait upon You and your perfect timing.

Family camp this year was August 16-19. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the campground and had mostly dry weather (the rain moved in for the last part of the trip, but it did not chase us away...of course, we have an RV...had we been in a tent, I don't know that we would have stayed...!)

Building community with our church family was wonderful. We were on the "red" team with several other families and had great fun completing the games and challenges. (actually the biggest challenge for us was keeping track of the kids during the game time!)

We are already looking forward to next year's camp!

Christianna and Evie

Although a bit of a whirlwind drive through Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada (very briefly), our quick trip to Arizona and California has, so far, been very nice. Though not able to see all friends and family from the two states--we have been able to see many that we had not seen in years. My brother, Justus, and his wife, Jenn, with their two kiddos, Tyler and Mia, also traveled to AZ. It was the first time both of our families have been at dad's at the same time. We loved meeting Mia (she turns 8 months on Saturday) and they loved meeting Evie. And Mia and Evie enjoyed all of the attention!!!!
It is the longest (distance and time wise) that we have been out in the RV, and (amazingly?!)we are still having fun together! It is so relaxing knowing that the potty is just a few feet away with little ones that need it quite often. :)
