Found: Our Christmas Tree!

Like in so many years past, we were able to go to the tree farm with our friends, The Loughs. (Heather's blog can be linked to in my sidebar--she captured many of these same moments today--can't wait to compare posts!) The weather was lovely and mild...not even raining! and the fog provided a beautiful, white backdrop to all the greenery.

oh my, it is not even December yet, and I already have my tree and I have done some present shopping...now, for many of you that may seem like the norm, or I might even be a bit behind--but for ME--this is huge!!! I am actually excited for it to be December tomorrow--rather than dreading it because I am usually so behind in preparations for the holidays. Bring on the season--and may it be filled with JOY!

What a gorgeous family!

I have only one thing done--Alana's Christmas pictures/Christmas cards. Everything else will probably get done on Christmas eve.

I guess that just means less time for Alana to get grabby with the tree!!

I think my dad scarred me for life when he used to take our tree outside after Christmas and torch it in the drvieway so we could see how fast they burn. Yikes. I FOUND my tree at a garage sale a few years back! Hee Hee. That is the end of the hunt for us, I guess. I think I need to come up with some fun tradition to take the place of what looks like a great family time! I am a little jealous that your house will smell like real tree...

Ahhh. brings back memories of trudging through knee-deep Montana snow for most of the day looking for that "perfect" tree. As I recall, the desirablility of the tree went up in direct proportion to the diminishing trajectory of the sun on the horizon...
