One Year Ago Today

Beautiful little one, Evie at 9 months

meeting daddy

asleep in mommy's arms

Sage, one of Evie's roommates, meets her mommy and daddy (our friends Shannon and Mark)

Evie today, 21 months old

...we met our Evangeline!

Can you believe it has been a year? One year ago today we became a family of 6... we held this little treasure for the first time... we felt a promise fulfilled. As we look at our youngest today tearing around the house with her siblings, it is hard to imagine that we once stared at three little snapshots of her for three LONG months in anticipation.

Thank you, Lord, for this blessing. Thank you for Evie. Thank you for today, as we remember the journey to get her, the friends we made along the way, the support we received from friends and family and most importantly, the way we learned to wait upon You and your perfect timing.

We just got a picture of Keanan and Michelle's "Gottcha Day" cake for Elizabeth. What an incredible year for all of you! They are all so loved and so blessed to have been given the families God had in store for them! Not to mention, incredibly beautiful girls!!!

Your daughter is so beautiful. Adoption is a miraculous thing, isn't it?

I don't know if you knew this, but I have a brother and an uncle that are adopted.
