December 18, 2004. ballet recital for Gabby and Hannah. standing outside because someone pulled the fire alarm at the school. so, we all exited, stood outside for an excessively long time while the firemen arrived, checked out the building and then cleared us to go back in and continue the recital. I remember thinking how grown up the girls looked in these photos. amazing how quickly that changes to thinking I can't believe how young they look!
also reminds me of the ballet recital Gabby and I attended for Hannah the next year that had to be postponed a day at the last minute because a squirrel got electrocuted on the power lines and blew them out. as all of the audience was leaving the school, there were parents taking photos of the poor fried rodent dangling from the wire.
and that, folks, is the kind of Monday Memories you get from me at 11:30pm on Monday night, after having no internet for 2 days, having to go to the airport at midnight last night when my mom's flight was delayed almost 2 hours, and not taking a nap when I had the chance because I was trying to catch up on all my blog reads...like my husband said when he texted to let me know my internet was back up --'your crack is back' . I make no excuses about my habit. I just wrote about an electrocuted squirrel. this is good stuff.

amazing! I think you should post more often late at night - I mean, I'm here reading it, dead squirrel and all! Oh, and I LOVE Gab's expression in the second photo...it's fantastic.
Thanks for the good giggle: "Your Crack is Back!" Oh yeah!
Is Gabby LOOKING at the dead squirrel in that second picture???
And every time I read "squirrel", I can hear Jaynie's voice saying it.
BTW- "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood..." Heh heh heh... it's BAAAA-AAACK!
Good stuff indeed...
They seriously were taking pictures of the electrocuted squirrel? How macabre...
Cute pictures.
Hilarious memory of the fried rodent.
LOL at the crack is back. SOOOOO true.
As my husband left this morning, leaving a screaming toddler in the living room, he said "May the Lord be with you". I asked him what kind of drug he was going to bring me. He dug up an old chocolate from somewhere. Sometimes they really do get us.
Your husband and my husband would SO get along!! Sounds like something Cory would say...
Oh such rated R stuff ....about crack and all, and dead animals...
Oh my gosh, are you realling on my list of friends to bloggie with!
Hehehehe
Love your Monday Memory! So creative!
Oh I so get the no internet thing-how would we keep up to date on all the important stuff like fried squirrels?!
Oh my goodness, look at them. Thanks for posting this, and why oh why did I not get a photo of the fried squirrel? :)
